Last week, Saturday 5 February the monthly Standard
Pistol shoot was held, starting at 9.00 hrs.
Nine shooters including one Junior competed.
The Results:Peter Verhaart 430; Keith Harrower

After lunch the two remaining shooters shot the ISSF
Rapid Fire Match.

On the fourth of December six shooters reported
at the SSAA Rockhampton's Cawarral Pistol Range.
They competed in the Standard Pistol match.

A completely fresh group of four took part in the Rapid Fire
Match in the afternoon

On Saturday 26 November the discipline
of 50m Pistol was introduced at the Cawarral Pistol
Range of the SSAA Rockhampton.
The targets are the same as used in Standard Pistol
and the slow fire part of 25 m Pistol.
In 50 m Pistol the shooters get 2 hours to complete 60 scoring
shots. The match is shot with a rimfire pistol and only one
round is loaded every time.
On this day four shooters turned up, one a first time shooter
and one a beginner.

Sunday 6 November six shooters shot the Standard
Pistol Match in the morning at the Cawarral Range of
the SSAA Rockhampton.

After lunch we had seven shooters in the Rapid Fire
Pistol Match.

The year's Breakup Party at which the year's
trophies will be awarded will be held on Saturday
night 27 November at the SSAA Rockhampton Cawarral
Range. During the day the first 50 m Pistol Match will be
shot in the morning, the Airpistol Match in the afternoon. |

of fathers with brand new pistols, nine experienced shooters
turned up for the Standard Pistol Match at the Cawarral Range
of the Rockhampton SSAA.

Sunday morning 6 March 2005. The weather Bureau
predicted a very hot day, then there was the Melbourne Grand
Prix. Nonetheless seven shooters turned up at the Cawarral Pistol
Range of the Rockhampton S.S.A.A. to compete in the Standard
Pistol Match.

Sunday 7 November, in spite of showers promised
by the Weather Buro, 10 mature persons turned up to shoot the
Standard Pistol Match at the Rockhampton S.S.A.A. Pistol Range
at Cawarral. For the first time in recorded history the shoot
started at 9.00 am sharp.

Sunday morning 3 October saw 8 shooters
turn up at the Cawarral range of the Rockhampton S.S.A.A. to
compete in the Standard Pistol Match. In this match a total
of 60 scoring shots is fired at paper targets in series of five
shots. The first 4 series are to be fired within 150 seconds
per series. The second set of 4 series gets 20 seconds per series
and the last 4 series only get 10 seconds per series. Timing
is done by turning the targets to face the shooters during the
prescribed time, when the time is up, the targets turn side
on.

Standard Pistol and Rapid Fire results from the
Rockhampton S.S.A.A.
Last Sunday, June 6, was the first time the new roster came
into effect.
The shoot was moved from the 3rd Saturday of the month to the
1st Sunday.
Eight shooters, all seniors, had taken note and turned up at
the
Rockhampton S.S.A.A. Pistol Range at Cawarral for the Standard
Pistol Match.
In spite of some scattered showers the match finished before
noon.
