The Sporting Shooters Association of Australia was founded on the 15th of April, 1948 in Sydney, to encourage organised competitions between hunters, collectors and ordinary sporting firearm owners. Today the S.S.A.A. is an integral part of Australian society by virtue of its enormous membership. Women and junior shooters are a very prominent part of our sport including several Olympic-level achievers.

S.S.A.A. Rockhampton Branch Inc. is just 1 of 182 branches nationwide. Our shooting complex is situated along Tookers Road, near the small township of Cawarral.
